Mastering Vertical Space: A Client’s Story

The Challenge
The client wanted a Corner L-Shaped Wardrobe that would seamlessly integrate into their bedroom while making full use of the entire vertical height. However, the standard IKEA Pax frames (236 cm high) left 64 cm of wasted space at the top — a missed opportunity for storage. Additionally, for a truly highend finish, the wardrobe needed to look as though it had always been part of the room, without awkward gaps or mismatched sections. A standard IKEA installation would have left the client with dead space at the top and a disjointed appearance. They needed a solution that combined functionality with flawless design.
The Solution
Instead of compromising on storage, we took a masterful approach to vertical space utilisation, ensuring every centimetre of height was put to work:
✔️ Seamless Floor-to-Ceiling Design: We extended the wardrobe right up to the ceiling, eliminating all wasted space and creating a true built-in effect.
✔️ Custom Upper Storage Section: To bridge the height gap, we cut additional Pax frames down to 52 cm, allowing the wardrobe to fit perfectly within the 300 cm ceiling.
✔️ Perfectly Fitted Doors: We ensured that the upper storage doors matched seamlessly, cutting them to size while maintaining their elegant proportions.
✔️ Enhanced Stability & Longevity: The wardrobe was securely fixed to the walls, ensuring rock-solid durability for years to come.
