Transforming Spaces: A Client’s Story
"Our client envisioned a built-in wardrobe solution that seamlessly integrated into their bedroom, with a functional dressing table under the window. The goal was to create a clutter-free, handle-free design that maximised storage while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic. However, achieving this required precise customisation to fit the room’s unique dimensions."

The Challenge
Although the PAX system is modular, achieving a truly built-in look meant overcoming a few obstacles:
✔️ Ensuring a flush fit: The skirting board prevented the wardrobe from sitting against the wall.
✔️ Maximising storage & aesthetics: The space needed a combination of closed storage & open shelving.
✔️ Window placement: The dressing table needed to fit perfectly under the window without disrupting the balanced symmetry.
✔️ Handle-free design: The client preferred push-to-open doors to maintain a minimalist style.

The Solution
By taking a bespoke approach, we delivered a fully integrated wardrobe and dressing area:
✔️ Wall-to-Wall Fit: Removed the skirting board, added infills, and applied silicone finishing for a seamless built-in look.
✔️ Bespoke Dressing Table: A custom worktop was fitted under the window, perfectly aligning with the wardrobe structure.
✔️ Optimised Storage: Added drawer units & open shelving, creating a functional yet stylish layout.
✔️ Minimalist & Modern: Installed push-to-open doors for a sleek, handle-free finish.

The Result
"The final design is a flawlessly integrated wardrobe & dressing area that looks like it was built with the home. The push-to-open doors enhance the modern, seamless aesthetic, while the custom dressing table adds both function and style. By carefully tailoring the IKEA PAX system, we created a high-end, bespoke look—without the bespoke price tag."
